This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I like. Scroll down a bit to start reading, or a bit more to read more about me.
No corn
No tomatoes
No wheat/gluten
No red meat
No sugar/honey
No eggs
NO CAFFEINE!!
Not a lot.
This is going to be a rough 3 weeks. BUT I’ll feel 1000x better at the end of this. This is the jump start I need I think! Wish me luck- I’ll let you know how it goes!
More to come soon…
at least not without the right gear!
It’s too damn cold up here in Alaska now to be running in just long sleeves and under armor running pants. Now I need gloves for SURE, a fleece headband, and probably a running jacket. Zac (my husband) said that his sweat was freezing to his back- yikes!
We might take up cross country skiing for the winter in lieu of running- still great cardio! But I’ll be sad to put away my running shoes all the same.
Good thing P90X is an inside workout! ;) Speaking of which, P90X Shoulders and Arms is tomorrow- BRING IT ON.
I’m really sore from yesterday’s double workout- especially since I killed the jump tucks in plyo!
Just an FYI- I’ll be posting more often on here now. Time to get serious about this bikini body that I need in May. Dominican Republic, here we come!!
Yesterday I played catch up and did P90X Chest and Back and P90X Plyo. Yikes!! I felt bad ass but never again!!
Last week my husband and I started a new round of P90X and we got back into the swing of running (we took a break while he was on vacation- much needed rest!).
Oh, man, I’m sore! P90X + running 4 times a week= kicks your ass! But it’s a good thing ;) Today is shoulders, biceps, and triceps plus ab ripper and a 4+ mile run. Bring it onnnnn!!!!!
After serious GI issues (which I thought were dairy), I went to the doctor to find out it’s most likely a gluten allergy.
I’m a baker/pastry chef.
And I’m allergic to gluten???!!!?!
Ugh. I’m not very pleased to say the least. BUT after a few days of not having any gluten, I feel 10000 times better. My doctor might be on to something. I had an allergy test too, IgE and IgG or something like that, which tests a tons of different foods. I get the results back in a few weeks but until then- no gluten or dairy. Yayyy (hear the sarcasm?)
Does anyone else avoid gluten?
I was off dairy for about a year after my daughter was born because she couldn’t tolerate it and I was breastfeeding. I always had some issues with dairy but it wasn’t so bad as to completely go off of it; I just didn’t over-indulge. Well, I have been having a little bit more and more dairy since I stopped breastfeeding and it has finally caught up with me. A piece of cheese here, Greek yogurt there… Bloating, stomach cramps, gall bladder attack (I think, it was mild)- not good stuff. Ouch!! I’m not touching the stuff for a while. I feel awful!
I’ve had a hard time these last few days with what I’m eating. I’ve just wanted to snack constantly and while it’s usually “healthy” food, I’m still consuming too many calories. Ugh!! So frustrating!
We ran 3.77 miles today. Half way through I felt like I was going to puke. I NEVER feel like that. It was obvious that something I ate earlier was really catching up with me. I really need to seriously revise my diet. This just isn’t working anymore. :( boooooo!!
